True/False: A Retrospective
This weekend will be my fourth year shooting the True/False Film Festival as a part of the core photo team, and it's also the milestone 10th birthday of the fest. I decided to go through some photos and make a post of my favorites, because True/False has always meant a lot to me.
You have to flashback to spring 2010 to really understand: I was in the photo program at Mizzou, but was still getting over the shyness of even speaking to other photographers. Being invited to shoot the 2010 festival was the first time anyone really showed interest in my work, and was probably the first time I felt confident in my photography. Each year since has proved itself to be just as exhilarating and creatively nurturing as the first, so I can't wait to see what this weekend has in store.
